My Friend Andrea

Andrea Watman was her name....
What a sad loss we have encountered, she passed on Tuesday June 14, 2011 due to complications from a fall 3 months ago. The funeral was Thursday the 16th which I attended.
Genuinely the nicest and most generous person I have ever met. Here's a story that I can remember her kindness by; Summer 2009, I was at her desk trading some stories about baseball and how I would love to make it out the the newly opened Citi Field in Queens. I left didn't think much more into the discussion, I head back to my post and start work. Moments later Andrea summons me to pick up the phone, I answer... she says to me "look over at your printer". On the printer was two tickets printed for the Mets game. WOW! What a surprise! I had this crazy Kool-Aid smile on my face people was wondering what was going on with me.
Well there are numerous other stories like this of Andy that I can speak of but I just want to leave you a taste of what kind of a person she was. Oh Boy, she will surely be missed but never forgotten.

My Nike Ad

Here's a quick impromptu video that I put together upon a friends suggestion. My previous video about my love for playing under NYC's 59th St bridge...she stated that it looked like a commercial for Nike. You can look at my old post a few weeks back and you find that video. In this video, I edited it down to the action shots inserted the Nike logo and jazzed it up with some cool music...results: My Nike Ad.

Doughnut Plant's turn

Doughnut Plant's doughnuts good but ain't all that! That's right I said. I love a fried doughnut anyday but I'm just not that impressed. I'll take a fresh Dunkin Donut anyday! They're softer, more variety and easier to handle. Unlike the oversized behemoth fried rings that the Dougnut Plant produces and charges a premium for.

That said, I do enjoy the DP(easy! I know what ya thinkin!) doughnut ocassionally and not to totally badger a friend in the biz....he does use top notch ingredients which is why they're priced the way they are. Either way, I love me my dounuts!

Another muffin

Today I think I will enjoy a mixed berry muffin by Tisserie Bakery. Low fat I might add. Usually I eat everything full fat full sugar full everything but this actually tastes very good! I have it with a cup of black Zabar's coffee, most delicious!

My lunch

Saturday, slow raining day and I just felt the need to share my lunch with y'all. A friend have told me once that I'm the most unhealthiest healthy person that she knows.  That sounds like me.

First, I work in the food business and I have no other option but to sample and eat the stuff that comes through. Second, what's life if we don't enjoy the things that makes us happy? Finally, moderation and workout! That's how I keep everything in check.

So without further ado here's today's lunch....

K Burke's Little softball tributes

Only 10 people showed up for tonight's game, what a shame! Luckily for us one of the following teams showed up for an extremely early warm up. Our fearless leader Brad, asked them to played against us. At first glace these uniformed ballplayers looked as though they were going to crush us! I don't know why I don't follow the cardinal rule "They SUCK until they prove otherwise". THEY DID! We crushed them like crushing an empty soda can. LOL! Yes, I Laughed, L to the O, to the mutha fuggin L!!!!!!!
